Herkese merhaba!

Hello everyone! We are together again with the Spring-Summer 2020 London Fashion Week post. In London, where the streets are filled with Fashion, Fashion Week is complete, but the breeze of street fashion is still fresh. How about a visit to London, famous for its diversity of people and mastery of dress patterns, and admiring the color of culture all together? Let’s begin if you are.

MARTHA JAKUBOWSKI

Martha Jakubowski’s collection of powerful women draws attention. With her lavender-colored jacket, drape suit and Marlene Dietrich character, Jakubowski describes how a woman can achieve anything. For Jakubowski, who was originally Polish but grew up in Germany and completed her education at the Royal College of Art in London, Dietrich has a special place, and we can easily see traces of it in her designs.

MARQUES’ ALMEIDA

Marta Marques and Paulo Almeida have been thinking a lot about what they’re building with their brand recently. This season, we come across colored satins and shredded jeans trend as with their first show in 2010. Moreover, above all, their goal is to stand up for young women who are largely involved in society. It’s not hard to say that this is also reflected in the Spring – Summer 2020 collection.

MOLLY GODDARD

Since taking to the catwalks for the first time in London 5 years ago, Goddard has been keeping on to showcase her designs as a symbol of romance. This season, indeed, the most elegant and confident collection we have ever come across. Goddard worked with denim fabric for the first time in this season, however the results were quite far from classic ones. The raw denim dress, adorned with 3-D flowers, bore all the lightness that a tulle look could give. While Goddard has yet to launch accessories, her new studded crossbody bags were another element that reflected her style. Whatever the idea of the next design, Goddard is certain to know no bounds.

Turkish designer Dilara Findikoglu from London, since graduating from Central Saint Martins three years ago, continues to grow her brand and gain the appreciation of celebrities. It is also necessary to say that Findikoglu’s designs, which do not follow the fashion of the season, have their own magic and wonderful works of craftsmanship. For her Spring – Summer 2020 collection, Findikoglu has used icons such as talismans and signs written in paints that look like blood to draw attention to climate change and global warming.

TOGA

Yasuko Furuta of Toga gave herself free rein to make crazy by attaching that observation to her notes: “I wanted to invest more time into producing unnecessary things and see what would come out of the process. Making fashion, itself an unnecessary thing, is essentially an indulgence after all.” It is possible to see buttons, cords and straps that are not required in her designs. But isn’t being an artist really about seeing what everyone can’t see, thinking what everyone can’t think, and looking at it from a different perspective than everyone else?

HOUSE OF HOLLAND

Leopard patterns, silk and satin fabrics filled the catwalk as the fashion show began. It’s not hard to see that this collection by Henry Holland is a reflection of a mix of  ’70s disco meets ’90s rave exercise. Striped knitwear, short tights and organza fabrics give a sense of time travel while proving how fashion repeats itself.

A.W.A.K.E. MODE

If you love Natalia Alaverdian’s work, be prepared to enjoy her designs this time, too. Skirts that look like trousers, trousers that look like skirts and trousers with a jacket on top will surely attract your attention. Alaverdian apparently took the clothes and tore them apart and matched the different pieces with each other. He made fun of mediocrity, Normalized Difference, but that’s A.W.A.K.E. Mode’s way of doing things ,right?

DAVID KOMA

A zebra-patterned jumpsuit with hundreds of crystals… The designer is taking us on a trip to Africa with his collection this season. With this collection he went so far as to make jewelry and belt buckles in the shape of zebras and rhinos, leaving last season’s butterflies and ruffs forgotten in the past.

ROLAND MOURET

The rapidly evolving and devolving world around him is something he feels an unavoidable duty to respond to. “You wake up in the morning as a designer,” he said during that backstage chat, “and think, How am I going to design another outfit? What’s the point of it? Even if we love our jobs, we can’t avoid that question. And at the end of the day, it comes back to people. We love people.”

VICTORIA BECKHAM

If we think of British women designers and British women entrepreneurs, the first name that comes to mind is Victoria Beckham. Enveloping women in empathy, attainable easy-chic solutions, Victoria Beckham continues to move forward in her own line with her easy sense of elegance and empathy. There’s a lot of focus on dresses in this collection with the ruffles that dance as you’re moving.

SIMONE ROCHA

Anyone who isn’t from a Celtic European background or indeed a folklore specialist would not have had a single inkling about the wellspring of Rocha’s latest collection. “I was thinking about the Irish wren-boys, who go hunt and kill a wren on St. Stephen’s Day in Ireland boys who go knocking on doors, kind of like trick-or-treaters,” said Simone Rocha.  “So I wanted to bring that masculinity to the table but also turn and look into the houses of the people, the tablecloths, the wallpaper.” His collection best reflects those traditions he inspired.

ROKSANDA

A group of well-behaved schoolgirls were filling one of the rows at the fashion show. Roksanda Ilincic later said those girls were her 9-year-old daughter Efimia and her classmates. What a lucky group of girls, in fact, they may have missed a day of lessons but they witnessed an inspiring fashion show. Roksanda is a wonderful colorist who likes to draw clear lines in his designs. She also loves to use art as a whole in her fashion shows. “I want to combine architecture, art, and fashion. This is happening a lot here in London at the moment; it is one of the positive things coming out of other negative things”  she says and it almost confirms our observation.

ERDEM

As we watch Erdem’s fashion show, three details in particular catch our eye; the almost complete disappearance of the waist, he mass conversion of women to ankle-length skirts for every moment of the day and the arrival of single, retina-vibrating jolts of color in outfits—and the special art of splashing on a clash with a scarf or suchlike. Erdem Moralioglu’s collection tied all of the above. The models on the catwalk walk along the wide wooded road as if to remind guests of a summer wedding.

JW ANDERSON

The reciprocation between innovation and traditionalism in Anderson’s fashion show is one of the elements that gets the most attention. Crystal decorations are one of the details used by many brands this season, while Anderson reflected this detail in his collection with strings and belts attached to a crystal-embellished bras. Cotton canvas dresses were fitted with holes ripped to one side and surrounded by crystal embroidery. This ever-increasing diversity in his designs shows just how much Anderson has evolved. He describes his collection as “Antoinette-ish”, where he tends to experimental tailoring.

RICHARD MALONE

Richard Malone bu koleksiyonunu birkaç ay önce vefat eden büyük annesi Nellie Malone’a adıyor.

Richard Malone dedicates this collection to his grandmother, Nellie Malone, who passed away a few months ago. Her grandmother always sat in the front row and was one of the most important women who influenced her in her life. Malone says she used the design process of this collection to overcome her grandmother’s pain. Her writing patterns on the clothes remind her of her relationship with her grandmother.

CHRISTOPHER KANE

Dayanılmaz ama gizli baştan çıkarma sinyalleri gönderen yüksek moda gerçekten Christopher Kane’in dehasıdır. Kane’in kıyafetlerinin seven kadınlar bilir ki onun tasarımlarının modası geçmez, her zaman giyilebilir.

The high fashion that sends irresistible but hidden seduction signals is really Christopher Kane’s genius. Women who love Kane’s clothes know that his designs are not outdated, they can always be worn. In this collection, Kane offers you the opportunity to carry nature on you. In doing so, he also manages to create his own style by using strips, tulles and organzees.

BURBERRY

Tisci, içindeki İtalyan’a ses vererek klasik giyide kullanılan bu kumaşların ince yapısını kullanarak sıcak havalarda bile kullanılma imkanı sağlamıştır.

Tisci’s line dominated this season in monochrome, greys and khakis, and there was a subtle variety of tailoring, ranging from modern business man to short-and long-skirted suits. That quality was a wise move as generations of design values rose and persuaded customers to invest in a luxury fashion brand. Tisci gave a voice to the Italian inside him, using the thin structure of these fabrics used in classical clothing, allowing them to be used even in hot weather.

RICHARD QUINN

Kabarık etekler, fırfırlar, kabarık kol detayları ve Quinn’in klasik gül deseni yine bizi büyülemeye hazırlanıyor.

There seems to be no escape from his charms. Quinn’s attire was highly extravagant, with its trimmings and extreme details, indicating a planting fantasy. Fluffy skirts, frills, fluffy sleeve details and Quinn’s classic rose pattern are poised to fascinate us again.
